Pre 1983 Heavy Duty Design (See charts on following page)
Replacing Standard Duty with Heavy Duty
1) Vehicles Built Before 1983 - Standard Hangers May require 2 new holes to be drilled into the frame inner gusset to accommodate the replacement RS hanger drilling pattern. 2) Replacement Hangers - Heavy Duty Design Should be used in sets, i.e., if the right-hand front hanger is being replaced, the right-hand rear hanger should also be replaced. This is due to the mounting height difference. The replacement hanger is " thicker than the old hanger.
